Whether you or a loved one needs a dedicated helper and companion,
or assistance with more medically-based needs, HCA can help. Our services
range from a one-hour bath or meal preparation to 24-hour, live-in
respite services. HCA can provide coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a
week.
Heartwork Services
If someone you love is independent but needs companionship and care to
remain in the comforts of home, HCA provides personal care services. Our
aides will:
- Offer a trusting and dependable relationship
- Perform light housekeeping such as bed changing, vacuuming,
dusting and some laundering
- Assist with daily living tasks such as nutritional meal
preparation
- Run errands
- Communicate with other health care providers
- Accompany clients to doctors' appointments and outdoors
Should your needs become more complex over time, your HCA
caregiver will be qualified to provide the additional support you
require.
Home Health Services
You, your family, your doctor and an HCA nurse develop a plan of care to
meet your individual needs, from bathing, to light housekeeping to basic
medical care. Our aides will:
- Help with medical needs such as checking temperatures, pulse,
respiration and blood pressure
- Change non-sterile bandages
- Assist with rehabilitative care, as instructed by a nurse or
physical therapist
- Provide guidance and reminders for taking medications
- Assist with daily living tasks such as nutritional meal
preparation
(with feeding aid if needed), toileting, bathing, grooming and
dressing
- Communicate with other health care providers
